Genesis 32:23-25 (NIV)

23 After he had sent them across the stream, he sent over all his possessions. 24 So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. 25 When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man.

Sometimes, we wrestle with God emotionally.  That was the case for me this week.  We wrestled over my fears of failure.  We wrestled over my fears of success.  We wrestled over family matters and family patterns.  But in all this, God is still God.  God still provided immense favor during a financial transaction.  God still offered encouragement through Scripture and good community (BTW, if you don’t have good friends you trust and can be vulnerable with, get a couple – they are lifesaver).  And, God still loves me, even in my Doubting Thomas moments.

What’s your story from this week or month?  What have you and God wrestled about?  And, what did God Still show you as you wrestled?  Share your story in the comments below, that we might encourage one another with our stories of how God is faithful even in our difficulties.
